How the fee actually works

Every Easy Ship shipment is charged a weight-handling fee, based on whichever is higher: the item's actual weight (with packaging) or its volumetric weight (a stand-in for how much space it takes on a truck).

Volumetric weight (kg) = (Length × Breadth × Height) ÷ 5000 — L, B, H in cm

Your seller STEP level (Basic, Standard, Advanced, Premium) changes the rate — better STEP levels get slightly lower fees. Amazon adds 18% GST on top of the calculated fee.

Tablet, Standard seller: actual 750 g (→1 kg), volumetric 300 g (→500 g). Actual wins → 500 g–1 kg slab = ₹75 + GST = ₹88.50.

Backpack, Standard seller: actual 750 g (→1 kg), box 50×30×10 cm → volumetric 3 kg. Volumetric wins → ₹112 + ₹34 = ₹146 + GST = ₹172.28.
